BOSNIAN PREMIJER LEAGUE 14th WEEK

Sarajevo, who lost points against Slavija last week, had a home victory against Zrinjski with a single goal scored by Amer Dupovac at 30th minute. Zeljo had a clear 2-0 away victory against Leotar Trebinje, who usually recognized as a hard team to beat in Trebinje.

The most spectacular result of the week came from Mostar. Velez had a very good start to the season, but later on they could not avoid losing points. They managed to preserve 0-0 draw against Slavija at the first half of the home match. However, 3 goals scored by Slavija made them to be closer to the danger zone.

Struggle between Slavija offence and Velez defense
After next week’s matches, there will be a 3 months long season break since the winter is a bit harsh in Bosnia and the second half of the season will start by March.

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 12th week are as follow:

FK SLOBODA TUZLA

With an easy 2-0 away victory against FK Banoviçi Buduçnost, Sloboda preserved its position as 5th on the table by the end of the last week of the first half of the season. The match was mentioned by the clash between fans and policemen than the game on the field.

FK NOVI PAZAR

Novi Pazar had an early goal by Enver Alivodiç at 11th minute against Javor. However they could not preserve their supremacy at the match and guest team made it 2-1 by the goals at 26th and 45th. In the second half at 60th minute Novi Pazar equalized the score but could not manage to score one more to get the three points and continued the serie of loosing points. It is expected that this serie will continue next week as Novi Pazar will play a difficult away match against Rad.

BOSNIAN PREMIJER LEAGUE 13th WEEK

With 5 red cards in 8 matches, it can be said as a tough week for the players in the Premijer Liga. 13th week was dominated by three 0-0 draws as well.

Sarajevo, who had a very important victory against his rival last week, had an away draw with Slavija, which was just to relegate from the Premijer League last season and caused the difference between Zeljo and Sarajevo to drop to one point. On the other side Zeljo had a modest 1-0 home victory against Velez but gained a 3 golden points and became closer to the leader who had beaten the railroaders last weekend.

Surprise from Olimpik!

The most surprising score of the week came from Mostar. Olimpik had a 4-1 away victory against Zrinjski. The first half of the match was without a goal, but Olimpik managed to score at 61st minute by Semir Kapiç. Olimpik scored the second goal from a penalty at 71st minute. Not only the goal, but also Zrinjski’s defender Ante Radeljic’s absence by a red card causing the penalty kick comforted Olimpik for the rest of the match. Olimpik is recognized as a team with mentality which aims to avoid rival offense first, and then may think of goal, and is a team which is famous of having “modest” scores. However, benefiting from the fact that the rival was playing with 10 players, tried more on offense and scored 2 more goals and increased to 4th position in the league table. There is only goal difference with the third Şiroki Brijeg who has the same points.

It seems one of the two teams which will relegate at the end of the season is more or less clear: Gradina Srebrenik, the fresh team of the Premijer League will probably turn back to First League of FBiH after a season in Premijer Liga. The struggle to not to be the second team will probably be quite harsh.

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 12th week are as follow:
Zeljeznicar: 1 – Velez Mostar: 0
HŞK Zrinjski: 1 - Olimpik Sarajevo: 4
FK Slavija: 0 - FK Sarajevo: 0
Borac Banja Luka: 0 - Şiroki Brijeg: 0
Çelik Zenica: 2 - Rudar Prijedor: 1
Zvijezda Gradaçac: 0 - Leotar Trebinje: 1
Radnik Bijeljina: 1 - Gradina Srebrenik: 0
NK Travnik: 0 - GOŞK Gabela: 0

Next week’s schedule:
Gradina – Çelik
Leotar – Zeljo
Olimpik – Radnik
Şiroki Brijeg – Zvijezda
Travnik – Borac
Velez – Slavija
GOŞK - Rudar

FK SLOBODA TUZLA

After an easy victory against NK Krajişnik Velika Kladuşa, who is at the bottom of the table, Sloboda is again at the 5th position. Next week’s away match against FK Buduçnost Banoviçi will probably not be a difficult match in sense that it can really not be regarded as away match, since Banoviçi is just 35 kilometres away from Tuzla and Buduçnost is 12th in the league table.

FK NOVI PAZAR

Novi Pazar was defeated by strong rival Vojvodina in away match with the single goal scored at 4th minute and succeeded to avoid an expected defeat with some goals. With this result, Novi Pazar dropped to 10th rank in the league and a possible home victory against Javor may allow Pazar to jump a few steps higher again.

Victorious Sarajevo in the 100th derby

(From Oslobodjenje)
The maroon-whites were the happy side after the 100th derby of the capital city played last weekend. With this result, Sarajevo the host of the match continued to be the leader of Premijer League after a “modest” victory of “six points” with a single goal since they were leader but only with the help of goal difference, just before the match played in Koşevo.

During the season, for a while Sarajevo was the leader 5 points beyond the runner-up Zeljo. However, because of the unexpected easy point losses in recent weeks, Zeljo caught Sarajevo and the victory in the derby match not only helped them to continue the leadership, but also to defeat the demoralization.

Another issue which increased the importance of the match was that it was the 100th official match between Sarajevo and Zeljeznicar.

Both of the team played wary, opposite to the flair of the football fans. Samir Nuhanoviç, who was transferred from Zvijezda Gradaçac, scored the single goal of the match at 66th.

For the video of the goal:

With the 100th derby, an interesting statistics occurred. Both of the teams have 30 victories each, and 40 matches ended with a draw.

For the eight minute summary of the match, see:

Another “Five“ from Şiroki Brijeg

Şiroki Brijeg, who had a 5-0 home victory against GOŞK last week, prepared the same meal for Travnik this week as well. Şiroki Brijeg, who scored 10 goals in the last two weeks is the second most-scorer team in Premijer League after Sarajevo.

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 12th week are as follow:

FK Sarajevo: 1 – Zeljeznicar: 0
Gradina Srebrenik: 1 - HŞK Zrinjski: 2
Şiroki Brijeg: 5 _ NK Travnik: 0
Olimpik Sarajevo: 1 – FK Slavija: 0
Leotar Trebinje: 2 - Borac Banja Luka: 0
Rudar Prijedor: 2 – Radnik Bijeljina: 0
GOŞK Gabela: 0 – Çelik Zenica: 0
Velez Mostar: 2 – Zvijezda Gradaçac: 1

Zvijezda – Leotar
Radnik – Gradina
Slavija – Sarajevo
Travnik – GOŞK
Zeljeznicar – Velez
Zrinjski – Olimpik
Çelik - Rudar

FK SLOBODA TUZLA

Sloboda, who had a home 4-0 victory against Iskra last week and rose to 5th place in the table, dropped to 8th after a 2-0 away defeat against weak FK Krajina Cazin.

Next week, it is expected that Sloboda will surely have an easy victory against NK Krajişnik Velika Klauduşa, who could not get one single point after 13 weeks in the First League of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Standings of the teams by the end of 13th week in First League of FBH:
(From www.sportsport.ba)

FK NOVI PAZAR

Novi Pazar missed another opportunity  against Sloboda Uzice. In the home match the first goal was scored by midfielder Dario Damjanoviç, but just after one minute Sloboda scored the draw goal. In 65th minute, Novi Pazar could not avoid second goal of the guest team. Thanks to Miloş Bogunoviç’s goal at 85th minute, Novi Pazar rescued the single point from the match. Novi Pazar lost two matches in the last two away matches and could only have a draw in the last two home matches and next week they will play against strong Vojvodina Novi Sad and a defeat will not be surprising.

Şiroki Brijeg, who had a spectacular 6-0 away victory against Hajduk Orasje, had disappointed the fans with a modest 1-0 victory, which had an expectation of watching half dozen of goals.

BOSNIAN PREMIJER LEAGUE 10th WEEK

It seems that FK Sarajevo is the one who have benefitted the most from the break which was given due to matches of Bosnian national football team. Just before the break, Sarajevo had two defeats, the first one was 3-1 away defeat in Bosnian Cup against Zrinjski, and the second one was 1-0 away match against Travnik. Those two defeats decreased the point difference between Zeljo and Sarajevo into two. It seems, Sarajevo players, who were demoralized by those results had an effective therapy during the break. They had a nice 2-0 home victory against Borac Banja Luka, where they scored the two goals by defence players. On the other side, Borac felt behind the struggle for championship after losing the three points

Zeljo took three points from the 2-1 away match in Srebrenik. The three goals of the match were scored by railroaders. Defender Jadranko Bogiçeviç scored the first goal for Zeljo at 22nd minute, and he scored the last goal of the match at 90+4, but into his own net this time. It is a not bad that a defender player scores two goals in a match, but would have been better if both were scored in the same net, most preferably in the net of the rival team.

The most spectacular result came from Mostar. Velez scored six goals against Travnik! Mirza Çemaloviç, son of Mostar aged 19 had a hat-trick in the match where nobody expected that kind of a result.

(19 years old Velez striker Cemalovic, kissing the grass of Vrapcici after hat-trick. Photo: sporsport.ba)
Çelik was the team, who finally cut off the path of Zrinjski on her silence but sure way to championship struggle. Prisoners (Robijaşi – the nick name of Çelik football fans) had a 2-0 home victory against Zrinjski and they caused the point between Zrinjski and the leader to increase up to 6 points again.

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 10th week are as follow:
FK Sarajevo: 2 – Borac Banja Luka: 0
Gradina Srebrenik: 1 – Zeljeznicar: 2
Çelik Zenica: 2 – HŞK Zrinjski: 0
Olimpik Sarajevo: 2 – Zvijezda Gradaçac: 1
Rudar Prijedor: 0 – FK Slavija: 1
Velez Mostar: 6 – NK Travnik: 0
Leotar Trebinje: 1 – Şiroki Brijeg: 3
GOŞK Gabela: 0 – Radnik Bijeljina: 0

Standings of the teams by the end of 10th week:
(Table: rezultati.com)
Next week’s schedule:
Zvijezda - Sarajevo
Slavija - Gradina
Şiroki Brijeg – GOŞK
Travnik – Leotar
Zeljeznicar – Olimpik
Zrinjski – Prijedor
Radnik - Çelik

FK SLOBODA TUZLA
Sloboda does not pass through easier day in First League of Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, who was relegated from Premijer League last year after unlucky games at last weeks. It seems Sloboda still goes ahead with black clouds over them. Sloboda Tuzla had a 3-1 home victory against NK Jedinstvo Bihaç and increased to 8th rank. Next week, they will have another home match against NK Iskro Bugojno and a probable victory may increase Sloboda to upper positions in the league table.

FK NOVI PAZAR

Novi Pazar missed chance this week against OFK Beograd, who had easy defeats against Novi Pazar’s struggle to stay in the league last season. However, Novi Pazar not only could not take the revenge and but also lost the opportunity to have three easy points at home and had a home 0-0 draw. In case of a victory, they would increase to fifth rank, however they stayed at sixth.

This weekend, Pazarci will play against Partizan in away match, the leader of Serbian Super Liga and shall not be surprise if they will drop down to 10th rank.

DRAGONS AHEAD TO BRAZIL

Bosnian Dragons, taking attentions with reliable performance in three recent tournaments, goes ahead for Brazil 2014. Thanks to good performance points, Bosnia is in a relatively easy group and is currently the leader of the group.

Bosnia had a good start on September 7 by a superb 8-1 start against Liechtenstein where Vedad İbiseviç and Edin Dzeko had hat-tricked. Since then, thanks to the goal surplus, Bosnia has been the leader of the group, beyond Greece. In the second match, played in Biljino Polje Stadium in Zenica, Bosnia was victorious against Latvia with 4-1. The third match was with Greece and a 0-0 draw can be identified as a success against the runner up team. After four days, again in Biljino Polje against Lithuania, İbişeviç at 29th, Dzeko at 35th, and Pjaniç at 41st minutes, within a period of 12 minutes, did the good job and continues leadership.

(Table: Fifa.com)
Dzeko, who scored one goal and assisted another, reaching 26 goals in 49 matches, began to hold the title of most goal scorer of Bosnian national team, which was held by Zvijezdan Misimoviç by 25 goals in 71 matches. Mirelam Pjaniç, the striker of AS Roma, scoring one goal and assisting two others is modest by stating that Ognjen Vranjeş, playing in Krasnodar in Russian League, and originally from Banja Luka was the man of the match with his superb game by cutting off the attacks of Lithuania.
Mirelam Pjanjic (Photo: Oslobodjenje)

Trainer Safet Susiç supported Pjaniç by saying that especially at the second half Vranjeş’s performance was excellent keeping in mind that Lithuania played her best match in the group until now and if they could not score more, it is by the help of Vranjeş.

Another team who was victorous in away match was Şiroki Brijeg. Hajduk Orasje, playing in the Northern League of Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina, the third level league in Bosnia, which should not be confused with HNK Oraşje, the other football team of the town, could not resist against Şiroki Brijeg. Şiroki Brijeg had an away 6-0 victory by three goals in each half.

Despite they fell five points behind the leader Sarajevo, Zeljeznicar passed Çelik away match with three very valuable points with a result of 2-1 and preserved his runner-up position. Zenica team had a quick start of the game and scored the first goal at seventh minute by Coviç. However, could not preserve the score. Adiloviç scored Zeljo’s first goal at 35th, and just at the end of the second half, Brkoviç scored the victory goal at 86th minute.

Furious Sarajevo added three more points by an easy home victory against Şiroki Brijeg. Husejinoviç scored the first goal of his team at 44th minute, and the experienced libero Torlak scored the second goal of his team at 66th minute. Şiroki could find their single goal at 90+4, which was not enough fort hem to claim for one more goal for a draw.

With the excellent performance, Sarajevo is five points in front of the runner-up Zeljeznicar in Premijer League.

BOSNIAN PREMIER LEAGUE 7th WEEK

Last season’s champion Zeljeznicar continues to loose points. Railroaders, who lost the away match against Zrinjski last week, had a surprising home draw with Radnik Bijeljina, that takes part in the Premijer League fort he first time in club’s history and already at the bottom of the table. Zeljo dropped back at the very beginning of the match at fifth minute, but managed to rescue one point by midfielder Nermin Jamak’s goal at 77th minute.

(Photo: Oslobodjenje)

Zeljeznicar will have an away match against Çelik next week in Zenica and if Slavija will be victorous against Radnik Bijeljina and Zrinjski will beat GOŞK, both in away matches, Zeljo may fall behind the championship race.

Having started with an unsuccessful draw result against Çelik in home match in the beginning of the season, Sarajevo did not loose even one point since than. This week, they had a clear 3-0 away victory against Leotar in Trebinje. Maroon-white team forged ahead by Hadziç at 37th minute and young left forward Suljiç made it 2-0 at 68th. Just after two minutes, the new transfer from Honved of Budapest, Emir Hadziç scored his second and Sarajevo’s third goal.

Sarajevo has strengthened his leadership with a five point difference away from the runner-up Zeljo with the stable performance.

Slavija and Zrinjski, struggling fort he third position had a 1-1 draw in Lukavica.

This week’s most spectacualr result was Borac’s home 4-0 home victory against Rudar Prijedor

Olimpik insists on playing a mediocre football. Until now they could not manage to have two victories in row. Although they had a 1-0 home victory against Leotar last week, they had a customary 0-0 away draw against Şiroki Brijeg. Despite being on 6th position in the Premijer League, with 5 goals for and 4 goals against, they are recognized as the most boring team to watch.

On the contrary to a very good start to the season, Velez could not continue and had another surprising home defeat against GOŞK Gabela in Mostar. GOŞK succeeded to score three goals in the first 25 minutes of the match.

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 7th week are as follow:
Leotar Trebinje: 0 – FK Sarajevo: 3
Zeljeznicar: 1 – Radnik Bijeljina: 1
Slavija: 1 – Zrinjski: 1
Borac Banja Luka: 4 – Prijedor: 0

BOSNIAN PREMIER LEAGUE 1st WEEK

Bosnian football has an early start because of the 3 months half-season break from November to March, due to hard winter conditions.

The first week matches were played in August 4-5 in BH Telecom Premijer Liga, as officially called sinced the telecomunication company of BH made a two years deal with the football federation of BH on sponsorship of BH Premijer League.

The first three ranking teams of the last season; Zeljeznicar, Şiroki Brijeg and Sarajevo had the same result: 0-0. Those who could not succeed in European cups also did not have a good start fort he season as well.

Zeljeznicar, who had double cup last year in BH competetions and directly played in the second qualifying stage of the Champions League with Slovenian Maribor and defeated at home match 2-1 and 4-1 at away match and had an early god bye to CL did not have a joyful start in Bosnian league as well. They had a draw with Travnik: 0-0.

Zeljo’s last season’s rival Şiroki Brijeg, who lost the Bosnian Cup final to Zeljo and who was runner up after Zeljo, had also an unsatisfactory start to the season. They had a farewell to Europa Liga by a 1-1 home draw and 2-1 away defeat against Irish St. Patrick’s, and had a draw against Slavija, who survived from relegating in the last week of last season.

Sarajevo, who qualified from first qualifying round in Europa League by 5-2 home victory against Maltese team Hibernians and 4-4 away draw played against Levski Sofia in the second qualifying round. The first leg played in Bulgaria was signified by Levski fans’ racist beahivor where Sarajevo lost 1-0. The second leg was a 3-1 home victory for Sarajevo. The first leg of the third qualifying round was a 2-1 home victory against Montenegrin Zeta, but it seems a hard match awaits for Sarajevo in the second leg which will be played on August 9, Thursday. While focusing on Thursday’s match, Sarajevo had a home 0-0 draw against Çelik.

Borac, who finished at fourth place in BH Premijer League last year was eliminated by Montenegrin Çelik Nikşiç in the first qualifying round of Europa League. However, they had a brilliant start to the league by a 3-0 home victory against Zvijezda with Stokiç’s goals at 28th and 60th and Kruniç’s 84th minute goals.

Another team which had a superb start was Mostar’s Velez with a 3-0 home victory against last year’s Republika Srpska First League champion and this year’s BH Premijer League’s new team Radnik Bijeljina. Velez’s goals were scored by Çemaloviç at 6th and 68th minute and 64th minute by Hebiboviç just after four minutes when he was replaced instead of Serdareviç. Radnik Bijeljina, who also played in Premijer League in 2005-2006 aims to not to be relegated, but did not have a good start.

Another new team of Premijer League, Gradina Srebrenik which was established in 1963 and the only team with black and white colors with a white lilian in the amblem of the team had a 1-1 home draw against GOŞK Gabela.

In the week of draws, apart from Borac and Velez, Leotar was the third team who started the season with a 1-0 home victory against Zrinjski.

FK NOVI PAZAR

Serbian Super League matches will start this weekend, and Novi Pazar wşill be playing the first match of the season on August 11 against Radniçki Niş, who attained to Super Liga this season. While playing with Radniçki 1923 in away match, a difficult home match awaits for Novi Pazar at third week against Red Star.

Novi Pazar had reached last season’s target by managing not to be relegated from the Super Liga and they made new reinforcements to the team especially fort he defence. Nenad Todoroviç, aged 30 who played for long years in Hungarian league seems to be a strong member of Pazar defence. The new goalkeeper, Denis Mujkiç from Çelik Zenica is another good transfer. However, the expectations from midfielder Dario Damjanoviç, a Bosnian national squad member and with three years experience in Hajduk Split and 7 years experience in Kaiserslautern (2nd team).

Borac and Sarajevo will be in search for visa to UEFA League in tomorrow’s (July 12) matches.

Borac Banja Luka will be playing against Montenegrin team Çelik Niksiç. The first leg, played in Banja Luka was resulted in a 2-2 draw. Borac forged ahead twice during the match but could not avoid Nikşiç’s Bosnian player Semir Agoviç’s goal at 85th minute. The ongoing objection of Borac players against Turkish origin Dutch referee Serdar Gözübüyük resulted in two red cards for Borac players Kantar and Dujakoviç.

Borac, who lost the advantage in the first leg is expected to be more serious in the second leg. Tomorrow at 17:30 in Nikşiç, it is expected that the temperature will be over 40 degrees. If Borac will be victorious or if the match will be resulted with a draw where more than four goals will be scored, Banja Luka team will be the qualifying part. The qualifier will player with Ukrainian team Metalurh Donetsk by July 19 for the second qualification round.

Sarajevo on the other side expects to have an easy match against Maltese Hibernians. In the first leg, the early goal by Suljiç at second minute led to sluggishness which gave opportunity to Maltese to score at 20th by Farrugia and at 33rd at Rodolfo Soares. However, two splashing goals made Sarajevo to wake up and they finished the match with a 5-2 victory. Probably, Sarajevo will be qualified after the revenge match in Malta and play with Bulgarian Levski Sofia in the second qualification round.

Another match of tomorrow will be between St. Patrick’s from Ireland and IBV from Iceland. The first leg which was played in Ireland was 1-0 victory for the host team. The qualifier will be playing against Şiroki Brijeg in second qualification round.

Zeljeznicar, on the other side will play away match against Slovenian Maribor at July 18 for the first qualification group of Champions League.

BOSNIAN PREMIER LEAGUE 27th WEEK

ŽELJO JE ŠAMPIJON!

Last week when Şiroki Brijeg had an away draw with Çelik and lost two points, the difference between Zeljo and Şiroki Brijeg have had increased to nine points. In case of a probable victory of Zeljo against Slavija at 27th week matches, which would be played by May 9, would validate the title of Zeljo three weeks before the end of the season without relying on the result of Rudar – Şiroki Brijeg match. Zeljo had 3-1 home victory against Slavija as expected and gained the fourth title since 2000 when Bosnian Premijer League was recognized by FIFA.

Hopeless Şiroki Brijeg about the title lost two more points in away match against Rudar and the difference between Şiroki Brijeg and the leader increased to eleven points.

More important than Zeljo’s successful performance especially in the second half of the season, the rivals’; Şiroki Brijeg’s, Sarajevo’s and Borac’s unexpected losses were determinant in Zeljo’s gaining the title. Ivica Osim, not only a recognized football man in Bosnia, but also in the former Yugoslavia, was assigned in the interim committee of Bosnian Football Federation last year just after the crisis of the Federation with FIFA.  For many, this is has some positive impact on Zeljo’s success as well. Ivica Osim is one of the most important figures in the annals of Zeljeznicar’s history. Not only that, but he is also the father of Amar Osim, the current trainer of Zeljeznicar! Football fans do not argue that Father Osim had a backed Zeljo, but many say that Bosnian referees who have got tendency to be easier against “home” teams were not that much easy when they were playing with Zeljo.

Next week comes Sarajevo derby. Zeljo, who is already champion, will play to prove that they deserved for the title and unfortunately because of hooliganism and incapableness of managers, the match will be played without fans of visitor team Zeljo.

Zeljo’s victory over Slavija made Slavija’s and Sloboda’s points to be the same. Because of the current ranking system, despite Sloboda had a victory over Slaviaja in the first match of the season, currently Slavija ranks over Sloboda. As we have mentioned earlier here, the determiner match will probably be the last match of the season between Slavija and Sloboda which will be played in Lukavica.

Slavija’s next matches:
Zvijezda
Borac (away)
Sloboda

Sloboda’s next matches:
GOŞK (away)
Velez
Slavija (away)

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 27th week are as follow:
FK Sarajevo: 2 – Zrinjski Mostar: 0
FK Slavija: 2 – Olimpik Sarajevo: 2
Çelik Zenica: 0 – Şiroki Brijeg: 0
FK Kozara: 1 – NK Travnik: 2
Leotar Trebinje: 1 – Rudar Prijedor: 0
Sloboda Tuzla: 0 – Borac Banja Luka: 1

While Zeljo’s championship title is more or less certain in the Bosnian Premijer League, the struggle at the bottom of the league continues.

(photo: Oslobodjenje)
Since Şiroki Brijeg lost two points with an away 0-0 draw against Çelik, the difference between Zeljo and Şiroki Brijeg ibncreased to nine points by Zeljo’s away victory against Velez. Zeljo will be playing with Slavija at May 9, Wednesday and in case of a probable victory, they can announce title three weeks before the end of the season.

On the other side, Slavija does not seems to be playing easy in this match. They were the most relevant candidate of relegation since the beginning of the season. However, keeping up a a brilliant performance in the second half of the season Slavija rescued itself from relegation line. They had a 2-2 home draw against Olimpik last weekend, but since Sloboda lost at home against Borac, the difference between Slavija and Sloboda increased to three points.

This week Slavija will play a difficult away match against Zeljo, where as Sloboda may gain three points from home match against Çelik and the points will be equalized. As we mentioned last week, Sloboda’s remaining matches are relatively easier than that of Slavija’s. But the determiner match will be the last week’s Slavija-Sloboda match which will be played in Lukavica.

Slavija’s next matches:
Zeljeznicar (away)
Zvijezda
Borac (away)
Sloboda

Sloboda’s next matches:
Çelik
GOŞK (away)
Velez
Slavija (away)

The results of the matches played in the Bosnian Premier League in the 26th week are as follow:
FK Sarajevo: 2 – Zrinjski Mostar: 0
FK Slavija: 2 – Olimpik Sarajevo: 2
Çelik Zenica: 0 – Şiroki Brijeg: 0
FK Kozara: 1 – NK Travnik: 2
Leotar Trebinje: 1 – Rudar Prijedor: 0
Sloboda Tuzla: 0 – Borac Banja Luka: 1
Velez Mostar: 1 – Zeljeznicar: 2
GOŞK Gabela: 2 – Zvijezda Gradaçac: 1

Next Week’s Schedule (Week 27: May, 9):
Sloboda – Çelik
Borac – GOŞK
Zvijezda – Velez
Zeljo – Slavija
Olimpik – Sarajevo
Zrinjski – Kozra
Travnik – Leotar
Rudar – Şiroki Brijeg

FK NOVI PAZAR

Last week we could not be so certain about Novi Pazar’s salvation from relegation, despite the six points difference between Pazar and Borac. There are two reasons for that: Firstly, Pazar can lose very so to say easy matches, and may be victorous in very difficult ones and in that sense very difficult to predict. Secondly, football is never only only football in Balkans, which we know it very well especially looking at OFK Beograd’s easy defeats against those teams who are struggling to keep away from relegation line.

This week, while Pazar lost  3-0 away match against Sloboda Uzice, the good news came from Beograd. Rad, which we did not expect them to play well against rival of Pazar, had a home victory against Borac and with Pazar’s better results against Borac, despite having the same points it is certain that Pazar will not be relegated.

(Source: www.utakmica.rs)
Now, the issue for Pazar is how they will define next season’s target, since they fulfilled this year’s for staing in the Super Liga. The new players added to the squad will more or less show club’s intentions for the next season.
