The articles in this website is the translation of the ones which are published in www.haberbosnak.com, the web portal of the Bosniak community in Turkey. There is a population of around 2 million living in Turkey who has a Bosnian/Bosniak descent. Haber Boşnak (Bosniak News) claims to carry news from Bosnia and Sandzak region (of partly in Serbia and partly in Montenegro) to the Bosniak community in Turkey.

Last weekend’s (21st week of Jelen Super Liga) matches were not that much fortunate for Novi Pazar. However, as I had written before; when Novi Pazar plays at home, Borac and Javor plays away matches, or vice versa. Therefore, if one week Novi Pazar is better off, the other week brings a setback. This week Novi Pazar had a vital match against BSK Borça. If they had managed to be victorous, not only they would get three points, but also they would pull BSK Borça deeper in the poll of the candidate teams to drop from Super Liga. But, the result was a 1-1 draw. Ristovski, the trainer of Novi Pazar resigned after the match.

The surprise of the week was the 3-2 away victory of Javor against OFK Beograd.

As had been predicted, Metalac who had good results in recent matches and increased their hope to not to be dropped from the Super Liga, had another home victory against Borac. This was the best, and even the only good news for Novi Pazar.

The results of the games of the teams in the den of hell of Jelen Super Liga played by April 4, Wednesday are as follows:

Novi Pazar: 1 – BSK Borça: 1
Metalac: 3 – Borac: 1
OFK Beograd: 2 – Javor: 3
Hajduk: 1 – Rad: 0

Standings of the teams by 19th week

As can be seen from the standings, we can talk about a newly appearing fault line among the candidate teams to drop: On the one side there is Borac and Novi Pazar being closer to the red line, on the other side stand Javor, Hajduk and BSK Borça who are in relatively beter situation. In this sense next week’s fixture is of importance, when Novi Pazar will play away and rivals will be playing at home.

Fixture of 23th week which will be played by April 7, Saturday:
Borac – Novi Pazar
BSK Borça – Sloboda Uzice
Javor – Jagodina
Hajduk – Radniçki 1923

Away match against Borac is extremely important for Novi Pazar. It is a match of six points. Even, we can call it as a do-or-die match since Novi Pazar will play at home against Red Star next week. If Novi Pazar succeed to get three poıints from this match, their hope for next season to continue Super League can be refreshened. Otherwise, they will be a stronger candidate to play in Jelen Prva League next season.

Novi Pazar has an advantage for his week. Both Javor and Hajduk will be playing against stronger teams who stil have claims for European cups. As for current standing, Radniçka 1923 is the team who will play in Euro cups. But, if they will have a defeat against Hajduk, and if Jagodina will have an away victory against Javor there will only be one point between those teams. If Radniçki will win and Jagodina will loose, than the gap between two teams will increase up to seven points, which means Jagodina will be one of the teams who will be desperately waiting for the end of the season without any claim for anything. Therefore, it seems Javor – Jagodina and Hajduk – Radniçki 1923 matches will be quite harsh ones.

No matter what will be the results of the other matches, Novi Pazar has to win three points in away match against Borac for sure! And this will be a bit difficult since the third trainer of Novi Pazar, Bekvalac will be in charge after Ristovski’s resignation.

The match played in Novi Pazar in the first half of the season between those two teams which were established both in the year 1928, was resulted with a 0-0 draw. Çaçak, the home of Borac is just 142 km away from Novi Pazar, which means a drive of 3 hours among mountainous roads of Southern Serbia. Both Novi Pazar players and fans will need strength in the field and on the road.
